I did not even finish reading the whole thing… but my major concern is that our society puts too much emphasis on weight and calories instead of physical fitness and health. although being fat and fit is rare, there are many cases and studies that show a direct correlation between physical activity and mortality/morbidity. We shouldnt promote eat what you want but less in calories, instead we should practice mindful eating and choose healthier foods. Of course, exercise should be part of the equation as well. besides losing weight, the main goal is to reduce the risk for chronic diseases. I am not saying im a super expert on weight loss, but from a public health point of view, we need to modify the way we view weight/BMI.
